We provide expertise in the planning, design, construction, rehabilitation, and operation of water infrastructure projects including collection/distribution pipelines, storage facilities, pumping systems, reservoirs, and treatment plants.

History

With company origins dating back to the 20’s, Scheidel Engineering is a southern California based full service Civil Engineering firm with deep roots in the San Diego Construction and Engineering communities. Scheidel Engineers have designed and constructed a multitude of infrastructure projects from bridges to treatment plants throughout California. Born from the merger of two construction families, the Koch’s and the Scheidel’s, the firm Principal, Justin Scheidel, started his career working for his Grandfather’s Construction Company in the early 2000’s. The modern version of Scheidel Engineering focuses on the design of infrastructure projects while borrowing from the experience and practicality of the construction industry.

    Justin Scheidel, PE

    Principal

    Justin Scheidel is a Principal Engineer with 21 years of experience specializing in water infrastructure design, wastewater treatment design, and construction management. Mr. Scheidel is experienced in all phases of engineering, including planning, design, construction, and construction management. Starting his career as a General Engineering Contractor for civil and mechanical projects then transitioning to design engineering, Mr. Scheidel leverages his real-world experience and practicality when developing project designs. Mr. Scheidel has also served in the District Engineering role for multiple public agencies which has provided him with experience in project funding, and procurement of design engineers and public works contractors.
